Contact Sheet project : Sound of Frozen Time

In this project, I connect fixed time(photography) with moving time(sound) together to represent the importance of time, even a second. Only a part of second, photography can freeze the time. Sound can fulfill the imagination of photography frozen time, so I present photography with sound together.

Movements of Nothing(Emotions)

My first concept of this artwork is nothing, creating artwork with no concept, reason or any main existing idea, only following my emotions in each minute. This is similar to Luc Ferrari’s concept of Presque Rien by recording the reality of passing time but mine is in the inner way or representing my internal self.

Homage to Jamookdaeng

This piece depicts my personal memories, reflecting on the experiences and moments I shared  with my recently passed away dog: Jamookdaeng. This piece of video art  is not only related to  memories and moments but also related to  death. I used moving images that connected with the sound I composed with the sound of Jamookdaeng’s object, soundscape of moments of Jamookdaeng and my voice of my poems about Jamookdaeng.
