Each person goes through their own experience in life. Sounds can bring back memories in ways that are different yet complementary to images. Sound is invisible and connects with imagination in an even more subliminal ways.
I create soundscapes using specific kinds of objects as the sources. I want to express myself through the sound of the objects that have their own unique meaning. All the objects I am using are related to myself in one way or another . I use the medium of sound because soundscapes can capture people’s imagination in many meaningful ways. For me, a soundscape is the representation of the earth and our lives in this world.
I recreate soundscape with the sound of the objects that related to myself to depict the being of me in the earth even whatever I am. This recreation is like an imitation of reality such as the use of foley sounds in movies or photographs as visual. It makes people believe that what they hear is reality but it is a recreation and capturing the moment.
Recording sound objects is like capturing the moment such as taking pictures in a photography studio. They are also concrete sounds. So making soundscape from those concrete sounds is like painting with my own materials or making a photomontage with the photos that I photographed. It is recreating a reality with the other reality, recreating a moment with the other moment.
